“Impressionism is an artistic style that is used to quickly capture moments of everyday life. Focus is placed on composition with an emphasis on accurate depiction of light rather than detail. In this same manner, photographs can be used to create an emotional connection with the viewer through the use of grain/noise. For this project, you are to create a series of 2 photographs that use grain/noise to create a specific mood. One image with high grain and one image with no grain.”
